“The root of all health is in the brain. The trunk of it is in emotion. The branches and leaves are the body. The flower of health blooms when all parts work together.” - Ancient Kurdish Proverb
Greetings, y’all. My name is Rachel McIntosh, and I am a certified massage therapist and energy worker. I discovered the art of touch as a child, when I realized through my mother that my hands could release pain and discomfort from people’s bodies. This discovery continued to evolve when I began studying polarity therapy under Eleanora Lipton, who is one of the original practicing members of the American Polarity Therapy Association. Wanting another outlet for this incredible work, I enrolled in the Atlanta School of Massage. During my time there I felt continuously uplifted in all choices made that led me there.
And now, living in Minneapolis and continuing to grow my gifts, I remain validated in my path to help connect people to their body and spirit. This can be achieved by practicing a form of alchemy, ‘any seemingly magical process of transforming or combining elements into something new.’ By using training, intuition, and a blending of energies, my goal is to create a healing and transformative experience for you.
Every individual deserves and needs a compassionate touch, and with that can begin a path to relaxing the body and healing emotional and physical pain. Through body and energy work, my passion is to assist people in connecting to the wholeness of their lives.
What is Polarity Therapy?
Polarity Therapy is a holistic practice that works for anyone, in any state of health. It meets you where you are and inspires positive changes that are just right for you. Polarity Therapy is a system of treatment used in alternative medicine, intended to restore a balanced distribution of the body’s energy by combining touch, exercise, nutrition and self-awareness.
This unique form of energy healing enables you to look at what you’re carrying as pain, stress and disease. It provides an opportunity to access and unwind the origins that create physical, mental and emotional symptoms. In addition to working with your body, you are supported with verbal communication and reflective listening.
